Cody Brooker loved Bob Marley. He had Bob Marley tee-shirts, necklaces, books, albums, and a life-size standup poster of him. Cody did play baseball, the occasional basketball, and Boston Middle School stuff, but he loved Bob Marley the most. He only got to like him from his dad, who owned the “One Love” album. Of that album, his favorite song was “Turn Your Lights Down Low”. Cody was so into Bob Marley and his songs, he could list facts about him off the spot, like how Bob Marley started his career with the Wailers, a group he formed with Peter Tosh and Bunny Livingston in 1963 and his favorite was the fact that Bob Marley’s central theme in a few songs was Zion, which was heaven, or a synonym for Jerusalem. Cody does own lots of Bob Marley memorabilia, but his most prized is the Gibson Epiphone guitar. A Gibson Epiphone is the only think Bob would use in his concerts, the only guitar he ever used, and Cody has a real Bob Marley Gibson, 1 of only 7 in the world.

One day after baseball practice, the guitar was missing. Cody went paranoid. The first person he interrogated was Leo, his big brother.

"Leo! Did you take my Gibson!?" screams Cody

"No! Why would I take that piece of crap!?" Leo retorts.

"It is not a piece of crap!! There's only seven in the world, and I have one of them! Now its gone!"

"I didn't take your stupid guitar."

Cody didn't believe him. He ran to Leo's room and checked everywhere. The closet, shelves, behind the door, and even under the bed. Nothing there. So Cody went to ask his mom.

"Mom, did you happen to see my guitar?"

"No, Cody. Why? You don't know where it is?"

"Yeah.. I don't think Leo has it either."

"It's okay, it'll turn up."

Cody looked all around the house, no Gibson. He checked everywhere, but his prized guitar didn't come up. The last person he has to ask is his Dad, who hasn't come home from work yet. At nights, Cody has been saying sorry to Bob in his mind, having an alone pretend conversation with Bob up in Zion. Cody is ashamed of himself, he can't believe he lost the guitar. After all this time, Cody forgets to ask his Dad. So one day he asks, and he says that the guitar would've gone missing while he was at work that day, because he said he remembers it in his room when his dad left for work. So Cody knew it had to have been Leo. Cody sneaked up stairs, past his brother watching TV, and right into Leo's room. Cody checked once more, but this time, he still didn't find anything. So Cody hid in Leo's closet, to spy on him when he comes into his room. Five minutes later, Leo walks into his room, opens his dresser, takes out a strange black box, and pulls out Cody's Gibson Epiphone: Bob Marley edition. Right before Leo started strumming the guitar, Cody blasted out of his closet, yelling "You took it!"

Leo wanted to explain, but Cody grabbed the guitar and stormed in his room. He put on some music and set the guitar in its case.

Eighteen years later, when Cody was 32, his Gibson was worth $5,000,000. He didn't sell it though, he held on to it until he passed away and he passed it down his family, each member remembering Bob Marley and his greatness. It soon was worth $10,000,000. Still never was sold.
